Itinerary

Day 1: A Warm Welcome to the Pearl of Africa

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport and be welcomed into Uganda by the amiable Kaju Tours staff. As you are smoothly transferred to your cosy accommodation, relax and enjoy the passing lovely scenery. Your guide will make sure you feel perfectly at home from the minute you arrive by providing a little local information and previewing the exciting days ahead.

Day 2: En Route to the Enchanted Bwindi Forest

Set off on a picturesque drive to the centre of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park after a filling breakfast. Catch a picture of the classic equator crossing and have a traditional meal in the sleepy village of Mbarara. Awaiting you amid Bwindi’s ancient rainforests are enchanted encounters as the scenery changes from urban development to the lush highlands of southwest Uganda.

Day 3: The Bwindi Gentle Giants

Today provides a very inspirational opportunity to see the famous mountain gorillas of Bwindi. After an educational lecture, go hiking with knowledgeable guides through the mist-filled woodland. Thinking about the outer world disappears the instant you see the first gorilla amid the forest. A really remarkable experience, seeing these gentle giants in their natural environment will make you feel deeply connected to the natural world.

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park Royal Rendezvous

See the magnificent Queen Elizabeth National Park, well-known for its biodiversity and the Ishasha sector’s unusual tree-climbing lions. Set off on an afternoon game drive to see the savannah come to life with elephants, buffalo, and antelope often seen. When evening arrives, go to the tranquil Mweya Lodge, where luxury meets breathtaking views of the savannah at sunset.

Day 5: Chimpanzees and Kazinga Channel Cruising

Trekking with chimpanzees in Kyambura Gorge in the morning will let you see our closest cousins in their dynamic jungle setting. A boat trip on the Kazinga Channel after lunch provides up close views of crocodiles, hippos, and a plethora of wildlife. Observing the interdependencies of Uganda’s ecology is made much easier with this peaceful voyage.

Day 6: End of 6 Day Uganda Wildlife and Gorilla Safari and Returning to Entebbe

Savour a leisurely breakfast and take in the last morning vistas of Queen Elizabeth National Park. As you return to Entebbe, consider the glories and unspoiled beauty you have seen. Travelling ends with a tearful farewell at the airport after pauses for mementos or to take a few last-minute pictures. Leave with priceless memories and a pledge to come back to the kind welcome of Uganda.
