Wake up early on the fourth day of your tour and go to the fascinating Pian-Upe Wildlife Reserve. As you travel across the country’s rising landscape, you will witness vibrant small towns that offer a window into the everyday rhythms of rural Ugandan life. In a couple of hours along the newly paved road, you will arrive at Uganda’s second-largest conservation area, a real biodiversity refuge, with its vast savannas.
You will immediately embark on a game drive over Pian-Upe’s expansive landscapes. The game drive could yield Cheetah, Ostrich, Maneless Zebra, Roan Antelope, the newly introduced Impala, Topi, and Jackson’s hartebeest. Adding to the day’s magnificent sights may be the smaller kudu, with its spiralling horns and timid manner. Overnight accommodation will be provided in Moroto.

You can start your day with a beautiful drive through Uganda’s green scenery that ends in the amazing Murchison Falls National Park. The Tangi Gate, located near the Nile Delta, welcomes you to the park. If you arrive early, we’ll embark on a game drive along the Nile Delta, home to a multitude of angulates eagerly pursued by carnivores such as lions and hyenas. Late in the day, we shall check into our accommodation for the night and prepare for the exciting days ahead.
An exciting morning game drive is a great way to see how alive Murchison Falls National Park is. As you see different kinds of animals in the park’s beautiful scenery, you can feel the savannah’s awakening.
After an early morning breakfast, we shall head out for a game drive. There are various game drives in Murchison; however, the most productive are the Victoria, Buligi, and Delta areas. If time allows, we shall also visit the wooded Wankwa area. Animals to see on these trucks include buffalo, lions, giraffes, harebeests, oribis, and elephants. The Maginificent Ground hornbill and Patas Monkeys are also very common in the open savanna sections of the park.
In the afternoon, we take a boat ride to the delta, where you can see wildlife along the banks of the Nile. Watch the diverse range of plants and animals thrive in this beautiful setting for a memorable experience.
Today, we take the morning boat launch to the bottom of the falls.Along the shores of the Nile, one can see animals coming down to drink, including elephants and buffalo. The shores are also teeming with hippo and Nile crocodiles. Bird life is equally abandoned, especially for the migrants, including the African skimmers, who are inter-Africa, as opposed to some plovers, who are Palearctic migrants that winter in Africa from Europe.
Once we reach the bottom of the falls, we will take a two-hour walk to the top.
The falls are a sight to behold as the River Nile squeezes through a 7-metre gap and drops almost 40 metres to the bottom, creating the Albert Nile.
This is yet another adventure, as we start an amazing chimpanzee habituation experience in Budongo Forest and watch these smart monkeys in their natural environment. After a day of chimpanzee tracking, we head to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where we will be tracking the white rhinos.
